Damn, it's been forever since I've been here, almost a full year if I'm not mistaken. Can't really explain why I went AWOL. It was never a matter of me becoming disinterested with or art in general. Life happens and, well, I kinda had to "disappear" and take care of personal matters.

It would sound melodramatic and superficial if I said that I was in a horrible accident and it took me all this time to recover, but I'm not going through that route. Or I could say that I was reunited with a son/daughter that I never knew I had and I was embroiled in a long and bitter custody battle, but that's too Hollywood even for me.



Nope, I went AWOL 'cuz I was abducted by little green men ! Yeah, I was walking to the store for some smokes and Red Bull when they beamed me up into their flying saucer and whisked me away to Jupiter (why not Mars I'll never know). Fortunately for me I wasn't probed or anything like that ; they just wanted to ask me the ever-daunting question that seems to puzzle all mankind: "What's the meaning of life?" My answer: "Dude, how the hell should I know? I just want my smokes and Red Bull! Can you take me back home so I could feed my cat?"

All kidding aside, my life consists of finding that "suitable amount of balance" whether it be in family, relationships, career, or what-have-you. I haven't reached that point yet but it's still a work in progress (pun intended, *wink, wink*). Nevertheless, I'm just happy to be back in even if I'm not consistently here all the time. I miss and I miss my "extended family" here.
